Great songs

Hello bloggers!

The last two weeks during music class we have been playing the song; funkytown. I enjoyed doing this, even though it did not sound perfect yet! When I told my mother about the song, she was very enthousiastic. That song was played all over the world in the disco's when she was young and it reminded her of these old times. I find it so cool that there are songs which remind you of things of you really love to listen to. Of course I also have a couple of songs I really can't stop listening to, for example Here Is Everything of Chiara Civello, an Italian singer. Her music makes me feel happy and think the fantastic summers I always have with my family and friends in Italy. But I don't think that songs always have to make you feel happy, Jeff Buckley is an artist who can make me cry. Last Goodbye, Grace and Halleluja are absolutly my favorites. Another Italian artist who's music I appreciate is Tiziano Ferro, his most beautiful song is Non Me Lo So Spiegare.

It was a few years ago that I discovered Jamie Cullum, the music he makes it according to my opinion, the best combination between pop and jazz. The song All at Sea is another song which intriguets me, the composition just before the chorus gives me a feeling I can't describe, that good is it. There is still one artists I didn't mention. She is called Anais Mitchell and isn't famous at all. When my father brought her cd home he already knew I would love it. Her voice has a exceptional sound, but what I love the most are the lyrics of her songs. It are protest songs which come from very deep. They make me think and want to hear them over and over.
